The people who cast it
Meet the yard.
Founded by Kim Rumsam in 1973, cast in North Devon ever since — Shebbear, then today's purpose-built Chilsworthy yard. Same phone answered, same standards, same loadout sheets signed off. Below — the people you'll actually speak to. Read the WCCP story for the longer arc.
-
Kim Rumsam
Founder & Managing Director
Since 1973
Founded the business in 1973 and has run it ever since. Led the move from Shebbear to the purpose-built Chilsworthy yard in 2023. Still picks up the phone, walks the yard most days, and signs off the loadout sheets himself.
-
Matt Squire
CAD & Engineer
Turns drawings into castable moulds and handles the bespoke detailing the catalogue can't cover. Main technical point of contact for non-standard jobs.
-
Mark Morris
General Manager
Runs the day-to-day operation across the yard and sales.
-
Claire Rumsum
MD's PA
The line between the yard and the customer. Owns quotes, dispatch paperwork, delivery scheduling and the day-to-day office. If you've rung WCCP, you've probably already spoken to Claire.
-
Steve Grave
Sales and Customer Liaison
First voice on the phone for new enquiries. Knows the catalogue inside out and turns drawings into itemised quotes.
-
Leanne Stocks
Receptionist and Office Admin
Runs the front desk — the first point of contact for calls and visitors, and the office admin that keeps everything else on track.
-
James Marsden
Yard Foreman (Metalwork)
Runs the metalwork side of the yard — moulds, steelwork and fabrication.
-
Mario Ciochina
Production Manager
Owns mix design and the batching plant, and runs day-to-day production scheduling across the casting bays.
-
Paul Whitson
QA Manager
Runs the QC lab — cube tests on every pour, batch records kept on file, conformity documentation ready on request.
-
Jake
Driver & Transport Manager
If it leaves the yard, Jake delivered it. Passed his C+E in 2026 and now runs deliveries across the South West and beyond.
Real photos for the rest of the team coming soon. Names and roles flagged "to confirm" will be replaced once the office signs them off.
Out and about
You'll find us at the shows.
Most summers we're on the agricultural-show circuit — the Royal Welsh, the Great Yorkshire, the North Devon. Drop by the marquee for a brew and a look at the catalogue.
