Precast concrete drinking troughs from a 30 Gallon Inline 'Cube' to the 500 Gallon flagship (3,930 × 1,285 × 800 mm / 12'11"×4'3"×2'7", 2,340 kg / 5,160 lb), cast in C40/50 to BS 8500-1:2023 with integrated pipe void to base. Drinking-trough designs for dairy cattle, beef herds and youngstock; catalogue troughs often in stock, bespoke sizes 2–3 weeks. Recently delivered: Holsworthy to Shropshire, Devon dairies.

Which size do I need? +
AHDB recommends 100mm (4in) of trough perimeter per cow on a free-flow system. The 500 Gallon flagship at 3930×1285×800mm (12ft11in×4ft3in×2ft7in) and 2,340kg (5,160 lb) is the biggest single drink station we offer; the 400 and 300 Gallon work for most parlour cross-overs. Smaller 80 and 40 Gallon units suit calf pens and field watering.
What is the 30 Gallon Inline 'Cube' for? +
The 'Cube' (750 × 890 × 800mm / 2ft6in × 2ft11in × 2ft7in, 597kg / 1,320 lb) is designed to fit in line with the standard and youngstock feed troughs as an end-stop. It increases water availability at the feed face without adding a separate trough run — a neat trick for compact sheds.
How are they installed and plumbed? +
All troughs include an integrated service space and pipe void running through to the base — extra protection for the plumbing from livestock and the elements. Each unit ships with concrete lids, a large drain hole and rubber bung, and either our universal XtraFlow valve or a brass high/low-pressure valve to fit your supply.
Frost protection? +
The pipe void through to the base is the first line of defence — supply pipes are sheltered from livestock and from wind chill. Add trace heating or an immersion in the void for exposed sites. Drain bungs let you empty the trough quickly when the forecast is sub-zero.
