Chilsworthy, Holsworthy · Built 2023
A new yard,
built for the next fifty years.
Our purpose-built precast facility opened in 2023 on the edge of Holsworthy. Bigger casting beds, in-house design, modern batching, a proper QC lab — and new jobs in a part of Devon that needed them. Browse the full range, or come and see the yard for yourself.

What's on site
Capability, plain and listed.
Heavy-duty casting beds
Long-line prestressing beds for wall panels up to 12m. Steel-fixed batters and moulds for cubicles, troughs and bespoke units.
In-house CAD & design
In-house CAD, with downloadable 2D blocks for the major product families. We draw the unit we are going to cast — the design of the permanent works stays with your engineer. We accept DWG, DXF, PDF and sketches.
Own batching plant
On-site batching in compliance with applicable British Standards. CEM I mixes from C32/40 through to C50/60, plus fast-set and self-compacting variants. Sulphate-resisting and low-permeability mixes for slurry, silage and marine work.
Rebar & welding in-house
Cut-and-bend rebar facility (8–16mm diameter) and welding workshop on site. Reinforcement options: rebar, mesh, fibre, prestressed strand — or none where the product doesn't call for it.
Delivery to site
Delivery arranged nationwide on 32-tonne artics and rigids. Pre-call before delivery. Customer arranges unloading.
QC laboratory
Cube testing to the standard's required frequency. Batch records available on request, including with delivery.
Finishes
Smooth, textured and tamped finishes as standard. Specification sheets available as PDF for every product line.
Circular-economy site
Solar PV, LED lighting, water recycling, rainwater harvesting, concrete waste recycled back to aggregate. Co-located with the Severn Trent anaerobic digestion plant.
Next door: Severn Trent biogas
On the same lane as Severn Trent's biogas plant.
Our Chilsworthy site is built on the same lane as Severn Trent Green Power's Holsworthy biogas plant — a food-waste anaerobic digestion plant run by Severn Trent Green Power. The neighbour relationship is a circular-economy story: food-waste digestate one side of the fence, precast concrete the other.
Concrete is one of the most carbon-intensive materials in construction. Sitting next door to renewable energy isn't a fix on its own — but it's a real start, and a sensible one.
