Available in two depths, one for low loaders or 7.5 tonne lorries at 1.5m deep and the other for standard artics at 1.3m deep. These depths comprise of the internal depth of the concrete unit plus 180mm of steel channel coping at the top (180x90 PFC). Each pit is formed with three main precast sections and two end units. Each main section is 3.7m long giving a pit 11.1 metres in length by 1100mm wide.
The sides of the main sections have recesses which can be used to run cables, airlines and accommodate lighting keeping them neatly out of the way. The pits can be supplied with 600mm wide steel steps to each end with fold down handrails.
We believe our precast concrete workshop pits to be far less expensive than steel formed ones and very quick and easy to install. Typical installation stages would be to excavate the pit, level the base of the pit at the main unit connection points, place the precast units in position, backfill the units, fit the steel channel coping & steps and finally make good the floor from the back of the steel coping to the sides of the hole excavated.
We can arrange for delivery of the complete kit for the workshop pit by crane lorry to fit the units straight into position.
The main units are 6.4t & 5.5t for the deep and shallow pits.
